Can't believe I'm coming up to my 40th birthday.......Aaarrrrrgggghhhhhh ..Seriously though I just thought I would write something about my life so far- Over the years lifes thrown what it can at me yet I manage to get up again & dust myself down & start all over again( thats a song I thinkz).Anyway has I was saying over the last 40 years I've realised I was gay, lost both parents suddenly,lost a few mates to aids, been in prison, taken & past my driving test ( 3rd attempt ), had lots of shags..lol, way too many to mention on here( just read all my blogs ) .......Found God, lost him & once again I found him & have to say life at the moment, 6 days before my 40th is good, I have a cool job working in the gay community,help out with a local homeless charity( www.walkingfree.org) been to Uni & got a foundation degree( plus various other qualifications at various times- a personal licence etc etc...),a awesome, understanding boyfriend( Pete who I love like crazy), a beautiful daughter, lots of wicked mates who stand by me when times are tough( Gary,Gerry, Rich & the rest of you guyz thanx). So I guess my life is good & I can't really complain.
Now some people will have a go at me about how I lead my life, stuff like how can I be gay, its against Gods law or how can I be gay & be a dad? To these people I say look at all my good points cos they out number all the bad I have done over the years. Ok I may not be perfect but I try & I think my life has so far been okay.... So what about the future? well I don't know .. I hope I'm with a guy who loves me for who I am & that includes all my faults - Just someone who accepts all aspects of my life ( warts & all),also that I can make enough money to be happy in old age( ok thats a wild dream I know but hey!!!)...Be a good dad to Zoe & be there when she needs me, protect her & make sure no one hurts her( they daren't or they deal with me...lol)...
So thats it my life condensed into a few words...... Oh one final word....."HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME" lol
Now I love my job, but it's having a knock on effect with my relationship with Pete..... The reason for this is I'm up at 6 on a morning to get ready & set off to work. Now Pete so far as been ok with this but I wonder how long he would put up with it???Plus these early morns are really messing my head up, so much so I think after xmas I may start looking about for a job near to home - but thats just a idea at the moment.
Can't believe Pete went with me to ALC on Sunday & he actually enjoyed it, so much so that he's gonna be going back this next week - although he wants to try a morning service to see what thats like.... I'm actually shocked that he went once & wants to go back.... By that I mean I am shocked in a good way. I actually thought he would come up with some excuse not to go, which would have been ok as ALC is not for everyone, but he enjoyed the music & to be honest thats what most people go for anyway -
At the end of the day he went & words cant express how much that means to me................
Well everyone who knows me on here knows my faith is a massive contention.... Now pete wants to go to ALC.... Arrgghhhhhh! Seriously I am really happy....OK he may not like it but at least he is givin it a try & thats good in my book...It means he is open to it at least..Ok he may not like it & to be honest wouldnt blame him....The reason for this he hates Paul Scanlon the senior pastor...he thinks ALC is a cult, yet he's gonna try it tomoro & for that I love him....
No matter how may times iIgo over this topic some people still don't get where I am coming from or who I am....So I am gonna try clarify this once & for all:
Yeah I'm a out proud gay guy who has a kid _ shes called Zoe & I luv her to pieces, she's 3 years old now & has 2 mums & a dad - yeah get that 2 mums.......... Friends of mine asked me to be a sperm donor & after thinking about it for ages I agreed to do it.. On the understanding I have involvement in Zoes upbringing & its working & i'm happy - even my current b/f accepts this & thats something I like about him
I am a gay guy who happens to be Christian - Now not many gay guys would admit to that but I was a christian long before I was gay - so get over it.
